Again this year as a key part of the budget development process, we will be reviewing and updating the “Budget Development Framework”. The Budget Development Framework includes the following sections: a) Status Report; b) Timeline and Process; c) Context Information; d) Other Planning Assumptions; e) Guiding Principles and Decision-making Considerations. The Industry Training Authority (ITA) and College have finalized CNC's 2011/12 Training Plan. The Letter of Agreement for the delivery of the Training Plan provides for total funding of $4,780,307 for the year and delivery of 1609 training spaces across the College. For details see the link below:

CNC Presidents Report October 31 2011.pdfRecently, I had the pleasure of meeting with five of CNC's Student Leadership Awards recipients at the Prince George Campus to hear about their first impressions and experiences at the College. The five are all 2011 high school graduates and have come to Prince George to study from across the college region. They are pictured from left to right: Destiney Michelle (Business Admin), Chris Dougherty (UT), Rachelle Sackney (CCP & UT), Chayna Coghill (Nursing) and Justin Byers (UT).
On October 12, Rob Fleming, Executive Director, BC Council on Admissions and Transfer (BCCAT) visited the Prince George Campus to provide an update on the activities of BCCAT and to share recent information regarding CNC student mobility and transfer. The College of New Caleodnia has installed a new solar panel energy system to heat hot water for our Student Residence. For more information go to this link: http://tinyurl.com/3opsnks.
On September 29, a group of 12 community leaders from Vanderhoof visited Quesnel to tour the North Cariboo Community Campus and meet with College administrators and Quesnel community members involved in the College's growth and creation of the new campus facilities. CNC is now working with with the Nechako Valley (Vanderhoof) community to develop an educational plan and business case for a new campus in that region.
